PA Accountant Political Action Committee (PAC)
The PA Accountant Political Action Committee (PAC) is a bipartisan committee that contributes funds to candidates who support the interests of small accounting firms. It is the fiscal arm of PSTAP’s advocacy efforts to the Pennsylvania Legislature.
Today’s legislative environment with incredibly expensive campaign costs incurred by candidates, a strong, well-managed PAC is every bit as important as the capabilities of hired lobbyists, the breadth of the organization’s grassroots program and the validity of the issues being considered by the legislature.
PACs are nothing more than a group of individuals who decide to pool their financial resources and help elect candidates to public office. Whether you like it or not, PACs are a fact of life in the political process and are here to stay. The PA Accountant PAC gives you the opportunity to ensure that your profession’s best interests are represented.
Consider This
Today nearly every decision made in Harrisburg concerning Pennsylvania accountants is a political decision.
As individuals, Pennsylvania accountants have a difficult time making an impact on the way things are done in Harrisburg. Collectively we have a lot to say about decisions that affect our legislation.
There are other interests willing to fill any void in speaking for small accounting firms in Pennsylvania. They don’t always have your best interests in mind, but they’re willing to speak for you.
Vigilance is critical … it is not what they do for you but what they do to you!
Working together we can ensure that small practitioner interests will be heard. How? Buy taking an active part in deciding who will be making the decisions.
