The object of this course is to train both new and experienced preparers how to navigate the Form 990-EZ, recognize common issues when filing Form 990-EZ, describe basic not-for-profit issues, explain unrelated business income and its impact to not-for-profit entities, identify common mistakes made during Form 990-EZ preparation, and determine proper reporting requirements for unique situations for not-for-profits. It is a practical guide to navigating some of the more challenging aspects of completing Form 990-EZ. Speaker Bio: Mr. James Tice is a leader in the firm’s tax-exempt organization tax practice. He has experience in planning, organizing, administering, and supervising complex tax planning and compliance for various tax-exempt organizations. He oversees the tax preparations and technical accuracy of the tax positions taken by his tax-exempt organization clients. His client experience includes religious and cultural organizations, social, and various other charitable organizations. He is available to provide nonprofit presentations including Form 990-EZ, Form 990, and Form 990 Schedule A IRC 509 Public Support Test. He has been actively involved with the PA Society of Tax & Accounting Professionals since 2005, and has been enrolled to practice before the IRS since 2012. |
