Description: |
The presentation will start with an introduction to the Social Security program basics and why retirees should become educated on their claiming options before starting to collect benefits.
Social Security basics includes information on terms and abbreviations used, the types of benefits and who qualifies for them, full retirement age (FRA), primary insurance amount (PIA), and the importance of considering life expectancy. Case studies will be shown to illustrate different claiming situations (single, married, divorced).
I’ll cover the need for professional expertise in Social Security, who the ideal client is, how to become educated on the Social Security program, and suggestions for marketing of Social Security income planning services.
If appropriate, I will briefly explain the services I offer and the new program we’ve developed to educate accounting and financial professionals on Social Security and learn how to offer Social Security income planning services.
