Michael retired from Internal Revenue Service at the end of 2018 to pursue a public accounting career.
As an accomplished Certified Public Account, he has found his successes have been achieved in the areas of federal income tax and forensic accounting with extensive experience in the government administration industry and ensuring compliance with all policies. Michael specializes in tax preparation and guidance, conducting investigations and audits, and providing optimal customer service. He is also skilled in preparing financial reports, resolving complex issues, and establishing internal controls.
During the course of his career, Michael has administered data exchanges between the IRS and state agencies; collaborated with taxpayer advocates on tax and procedural affairs including identity theft issues; led a team involving auditing of small businesses; and managed the Abusive Tax Schemes Group. Some of his key accomplishments include mitigating identity theft with Data Exchange agreements; increasing the taxpayers’ satisfaction and improving business results through training and performance management; and being recognized with the Internal Revenue Service Commissioner’s Award and the IRS Wage and Investment Division Commissioner’s Award.
