Small Firms Unite!

If you have a small accounting and/or tax practice, you can’t afford to NOT belong to the PSTAP. The Pennsylvania Society of Tax & Accounting Professionals is a professional member-driven organization that provides education, information, tools and resources to more than 1,900 members around the state. With its inception in 1946, PSTAP, then PSPA (Pennsylvania Society of Public Accountants) was originally created to serve the needs of Public Accountants. Today, however, our membership is composed of certified public accountants (70%), public accountants, enrolled agents and tax practitioners. The PSTAP represents the interests of sole practitioners and smaller sized accounting firms. If you would like information about how to join the PSTAP, or the many benefits associated with membership in the PSTAP they are available here, or you can contact our Executive Office at info@pstap.org or by calling toll free 1-800-270-3352. If you want an application to join, click here.

General Information
PSTAP chapters are very active, and provide an excellent way to get involved with the organization at the local level. Our chapters hold monthly chapter meetings, which include dinner and generally either 2 or 4 hours of continuing professional education. Chapter meeting notices are sent to all chapter members, and the cost is very reasonable. Topics are timely, relevant and informative. In addition, many members value the opportunity to meet and network with other accounting professionals. Members choose their chapter preference upon application. Most members join the chapter closest to where they work.

Find out more about a PSTAP chapter by clicking on the chapter title below to visit the chapter’s homepage. For a listing of all PSTAP Chapter’s Officers, click the Chapter Officers tab above.
