Pauline is a shareholder and chair of the Tax and Tax Controversy Group with a particular focus on federal income tax, specifically working with corporations, pass-through entities and tax-exempt organizations. She is also a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions and the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation groups. Pauline routinely handles negotiations with the IRS and Pennsylvania Department of Revenue with respect to income, sales and use tax matters. Her practice includes general tax planning, entity reorganizations, tax opinions and counseling clients in nonqualified deferred compensation agreements for executives and Section 409A compliance.
Sarah focuses her practice in the areas of employee benefits law, executive compensation and taxation. She has more than 20 years of experience analyzing regulations under the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and www.saxtonstump.com Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and applying those rules to a range of benefits plans such as qualified retirement (401(k), 403(b), profit-sharing and pension plans), welfare benefits plans, non-qualified deferred compensation plans and equity-based compensation plans.
